Every time there’s a full moon, everything suddenly feels… more?
More emotional, more alive, sometimes even a little messy. I’ve been thinking about that lately, how the moon doesn’t just light up the sky, she lights up us too.
When she’s full, it’s like everything hidden becomes visible. Feelings we thought we’d buried, fears, old memories, little doubts they all rise up, asking to be seen. And maybe that’s not a bad thing. Maybe that’s exactly what the moon is trying to teach us that nothing should stay in the dark forever.
Change Is a Cycle
The moon changes every night not because she’s lost or confused, but because that’s her nature.
We’re the same. There are times we feel bright and inspired, and other times when we need to turn inward and rest.
And when we try to fight that when we expect ourselves to always be “on” we forget that growth happens in cycles. The full moon comes only after nights of darkness.
I guess the real magic happens when we stop trying to be only “light.”
When we allow our shadows to sit at the table too, something inside relaxes. It’s like saying to yourself, “Hey, you’re allowed to be both. You’re human.”
The sun and moon don’t compete; they take turns. Maybe that’s what balance really means giving space for both sides of ourselves to breathe.
So next time you look up at the moon, maybe just whisper a little thank you.
For the light, for the shadows, for the changes and for reminding us that transformation is not a goal, it’s a rhythm.
